My Journey in Yoga

International Yoga Day 2023

I was honored to present a Slow Flow session at the Shree Hindu Seva Samaj for International Yoga Day 2023. It was my first opportunity to guide a salutation for the Indian community, a moment that marked a turning point in my journey. Reflecting on that experience, I am deeply grateful as it allowed me to grow in public speaking—a skill I had always aspired to improve. Standing before an audience with confidence made me incredibly proud of how far I had come.

Tshwane Yoga Festival 2023 and 2024

First Sound Journey I ever offered to a crowd

At the Tshwane Yoga Festival, I introduced the first-ever sound journey to the Indian High Commissioners and a diverse audience of yogis. Playing the singing bowls for such a large gathering was both thrilling and humbling. The event not only amplified my reach but also gifted me the opportunity to connect with an amazing community of individuals who share my love for yoga.

Fast forward 12 months to 2024, I was invited to join the festival’s organizing committee. My contributions were significant, thanks to my project management expertise and strong work ethic. I successfully secured more than half of the event sponsors, building partnerships rooted in shared values and a mutual appreciation for yoga’s impact on well-being.

During this festival, I presented another dynamic sound journey. To keep the experience fresh and inspiring, I invited my fellow sound practitioner, Keratile, to collaborate. Together, we created a harmonious blend of sounds that captivated the packed audience. It was a deeply rewarding moment, showcasing the power of connection and creativity in the yoga space.

My Reflections

Each of these milestones has deepened my passion for connecting with people through yoga. These moments of shared energy and purpose are incredibly precious. The more I engage with this vibrant community, the more I realize how essential yoga is for all of us. It’s a practice that transforms us into better humans, fostering mindfulness, compassion, and inner peace.
