Every Thursday evening, we come together for Kundalini Yoga, a practice designed to awaken dormant energy and bring clarity, focus, and vitality to the mind and body. Rooted in ancient yogic traditions, Kundalini Yoga is a dynamic blend of mantra (sacred sound), mudras (hand gestures), pranayama (breathwork), and kriyas (specific movements) that work together to elevate consciousness and expand awareness.

The Science of Kundalini
Kundalini Yoga is based on the belief that each of us has a reservoir of energy coiled at the base of the spine, often described as a sleeping serpent. Through spinal flexion, rhythmic movement, and chanting, we stir this energy and guide it upward through the chakras, awakening the body’s full potential and allowing us to experience a heightened state of awareness.
The Power of Sound and Movement
One of my favorite aspects of this practice is how it uses mantra and repetition to focus the mind. Chanting creates a vibrational shift, helping to dissolve tension and silence mental chatter. Each movement, synchronized with breath, stimulates circulation, strengthens the nervous system, and expands lung capacity, making this practice both energizing and deeply calming.
The Ritual of White Clothing and Turbans
Many Kundalini yogis wear white clothing and turbans during practice, believing that white expands the aura and enhances personal energy. This tradition is rooted in the idea of purifying the self and creating a strong energetic boundary, allowing for deeper connection to the practice and higher consciousness.
Teaching with Authenticity
As a teacher, I aim to share this spiritual practice authentically, making it accessible to anyone new to Kundalini Yoga. Whether you’re looking to build focus, release emotional blockages, or cultivate spiritual awareness, this practice meets you where you are and supports your journey.
Kundalini Yoga is not just a physical practice—it’s a transformative experience. If you’re curious to explore your inner energy and awaken your full potential, join us this Thursday evening. Let’s rise together.
Dont knock it, until you tried it! Sat Nam.
